The cargo vessel has overall length of 200.00 m, moulded beam of 30.50 m and maximum summer draft of 9.00 m. The deadweight of the ship is 29,277 DWt and the gross tonnage is 24,724 GRT. Kamala was built in 1999 by Imabari Shipbuilding in their shipyard in Marugame, Japan
